Blind Auction – Terms & Conditions

By submitting a bid, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. How the Auction Works

• Each auction item has a starting bid price.
• All bids must be equal to or higher than the stated starting bid.
• This is a blind auction. Participants cannot see bids submitted by other bidders.
• The highest valid bid received for each product will be selected as the winning bid.

2. Submitting a Bid

• Each bid must include valid contact details, including the bidder’s name and phone number.
• Once submitted, bids are considered final.
• Incomplete, invalid, duplicate or fraudulent entries may be rejected.
• Star Sparky Online reserves the right to verify any bid before confirming a winner.

3. Winner Notification

• Successful bidders will be contacted by phone between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM on the same day.
• Participants are responsible for ensuring that the phone number provided is correct and that they are available during this time.
• If we are unable to contact the highest bidder within a reasonable time, we may contact the next highest eligible bidder.

4. Payment

• Successful bidders must complete full payment by the end of the same day.
• If payment is not completed within the required timeframe, the winning bid may be cancelled and the product may be offered to the next highest eligible bidder.
• The winning bid price is the purchase price of the product unless otherwise stated.

5. Receiving Your Product

Successful bidders may choose one of the following options:

• Installation by us – delivery will be arranged as part of the installation.
• Home delivery – delivery can be arranged to the nominated address.
• Store pickup – the product can be collected from our store.

Any applicable installation or delivery charges are additional to the winning bid price, unless otherwise stated.

Installation is subject to a site assessment, availability and our standard installation conditions. Additional installation work or materials may incur extra charges.

6. Product Information

• Product descriptions, model numbers and specifications will be displayed with each auction item.
• Images may be for illustration purposes only.
• The auction applies only to the product specified unless additional inclusions are expressly stated.

7. Tied Bids

If two or more participants submit the same highest bid, Star Sparky Online may determine the successful bidder based on the earliest valid bid received.

8. Changes or Cancellation

Star Sparky Online may suspend, modify or cancel an auction where reasonably necessary due to technical problems, product availability, incorrect information or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where an auction is cancelled before a purchase is completed, no participant will be required to proceed with the purchase.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Privacy

Personal information collected through the auction will be used to administer the auction, contact successful bidders and arrange payment, delivery, pickup or installation.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Acceptance

By submitting your bid, you confirm that:

• You have reviewed your selected product and bid amount.
• The contact details you provided are correct.
• You understand the winner notification and payment requirements.
• You agree to these Blind Auction Terms & Conditions.
